Supervisor, Quality Inspection

Akkodis is seeking a Supervisor, Quality Inspection for a Contract job with a client in Carson, CA (Onsite). The ideal candidate must have strong experience in quality inspection, regulatory compliance, and team leadership, along with the ability to oversee inspection operations in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.

Rate Range: $30/hour to $35/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Supervisor, Quality Inspection job responsibilities include:

• Lead and supervise Quality Inspection teams (1–15 employees), ensuring effective inspection and testing operations.

• Oversee inspection of materials and finished products to ensure conformance with quality standards prior to shipment.

• Manage and participate in First Article Inspections (FAI), coordinating with customers and regulatory bodies (FAA, OEMs).

• Issue and manage Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and support Material Review Board (MRB) activities.

• Analyze quality data, trends, and statistical reports to improve product reliability and reduce defects.

• Conduct process and shop-floor audits, ensuring compliance, proper documentation, and calibrated equipment usage.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required; technical degree or certification preferred.

• 6+ years of experience in quality inspection or quality control environments.

• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.

• Strong knowledge of aerospace/manufacturing standards (ISO, FAA, Boeing, Airbus, CAA).

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Hands-on experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
