Systems Admin

Akkodis is seeking a Systems Admin for a Contract with a client in Santa Clara, CA. The ideal candidate will manage and maintain servers and network systems while proactively monitoring performance and troubleshooting complex issues.

Rate Range: $43/hour to $75/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Systems Admin job responsibilities include:

• Manage and maintain servers, network devices, storage systems, and virtualization platforms to ensure stable and efficient operations.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, software applications, and hardware components across the infrastructure.

• Implement and monitor security measures to protect systems and data from vulnerabilities and cyber threats.

• Monitor system performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and optimize reliability.

• Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and patch management with minimal disruption to business operations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support technical initiatives while maintaining clear documentation of system configurations and procedures.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Proven 3–5+ years of hands-on experience as a System Administrator in a high‑tech or enterprise environment.

• Strong proficiency with Linux/Windows administration, virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper‑V), and infrastructure management.

• Demonstrated expertise in security best practices, scripting (PowerShell/Bash/Python), and troubleshooting complex technical issues.

Pay Details: $43.00 to $75.00 per hour
