Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a Tech Lead-Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Malvern, PA. The ideal candidate will architect and lead development of large‑scale, event‑driven data platforms to deliver reliable analytics and machine learning datasets.
Rate Range: $58/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Tech Lead-Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Architect and lead development of scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using AWS and event‑driven architectures.
Design and optimize ETL/ELT workflows with Python and PySpark for high‑volume data processing.
Build and manage cloud data lakes and warehouses using S3, Glue, Athena, and Redshift.
Implement streaming solutions with Kafka/Kinesis, ensuring reliability, state management, and schema evolution.
Establish data quality, monitoring, security, and CI/CD standards across the data platform.
Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and collaborate with analytics and business teams to deliver reliable datasets.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
15+ years of professional experience in data engineering and platform architecture.
Deep hands‑on expertise in AWS data services, Python/PySpark, Spark optimization, and event‑driven/streaming data pipelines.
Proven technical leadership experience, including data architecture design, CI/CD and IaC implementation, mentoring engineers, and delivering scalable, secure cloud data platforms.

Pay Details: $58.00 to $68.00 per hour
