XSIAM Detection and Automation Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an XSIAM Detection and Automation Engineer for a Contract with a client in Cleveland, OH/ Cincinnati, OH/ Edison, NJ. The ideal candidate is responsible for sustaining and enhancing Cortex XSIAM/XSOAR operations through tuning, automation, and playbook development.

Rate Range: $47/Hour to $49/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

XSIAM Detection and Automation Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Sustain and optimize Cortex XSIAM/XSOAR operations by handling tuning requests, bug fixes, and enhancements to security automations.

• Develop and maintain playbooks, automation rules, scripts (Python), and correlation rules to improve threat detection and response.

• Manage incoming requests from ServiceNow and track tasks through JIRA backlog/Kanban boards for effective workflow management.

• Update and maintain data source parsing rules using regex and ensure proper data normalization.

• Design and implement XDM data models for new or unsupported data sources within XSIAM.

• Build and maintain dashboards and reports to enhance visibility into security operations and incident response.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 8–10 years of experience in security operations, detection engineering, or automation engineering.

• Direct hands-on experience with Cortex XSIAM and XSOAR, including development of playbooks, correlation rules, dashboards, and automations.

• Strong proficiency in Python scripting, data parsing (regex), and experience in building and maintaining XDM data models for security data sources.

Pay Details: $47.00 to $49.00 per hour
