The Project

For a leading organization in an enterprise mining environment, Akkodis is recruiting a Senior / Principal Enterprise Architect focused on Agent Orchestration and Management Control Tower capabilities. In this role, you will provide architectural leadership to define and guide the implementation of an enterprise-wide Agent Orchestration and Management Control Tower. You will be responsible for establishing core capabilities that enable safe, scalable, and governed delivery of AI/automation agents across a federated operating model. The position requires creating a single pane of glass for visibility, control, assurance, and intervention, while aligning with enterprise standards and mining operational risk expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities

·        Define the target architecture, patterns, and roadmap for the Agent Control Tower aligned to enterprise and operational risk standards.

·        Translate conceptual designs into implementable platforms, integrations, governance, and runtime controls for safe agent operation.

·        Standardise agent lifecycle processes including registration, approval, validation, and policy enforcement.

·        Enable permission based discovery and cataloguing of agents and tools across federated delivery teams.

·        Define orchestration patterns and governance controls for secure agent invocation and interaction.

·        Establish enterprise control points, gateways, and policies to meet risk, compliance, and assurance requirements.

·        Design end to end observability and assurance including health, cost, performance, and policy compliance.

·        Implement intervention controls such as throttling, blocking, and kill switches with full auditability.

·        Integrate the control tower with security, observability, ITSM, data, and cost platforms.

Set architecture standards, governance, and RACI for federated teams and maintain core control tower artifacts.

 

Skills & Experience Required

·        8 to 12 plus years in enterprise or platform architecture within complex regulated environments.

·        Proven experience designing control planes and governance frameworks for federated AI and automation platforms.

·        Strong expertise in integration architecture, observability, and security by design.

Demonstrated success operating across federated teams while enforcing enterprise guardrails.

·        Executive level communication skills and ability to influence architecture decisions.

Experience establishing architecture standards, governance, and RACI models at scale.
