Senior ICT Project Manager

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to successfully deliver projects from initiation through to closure within a hybrid PRINCE2 and Agile environment. This role requires strong governance capability, stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to independently deliver high-quality outcomes aligned to organisational standards and objectives.

Contract length: 12 months (with extension potential)

Work model: Hybrid

Location: Brisbane CBD

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from start-up through to closure, ensuring alignment with PRINCE2 governance frameworks
• Develop and maintain project products and artefacts, collaborating closely with advisors and key stakeholders
• Engage regularly with project teams and internal stakeholders to foster collaboration and maintain delivery alignment
• Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring delivery against approved scope, schedule, quality, and budget baselines
• Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating where required
• Support benefits realisation by ensuring outcomes are clearly defined, measurable, and aligned to departmental objectives
• Work independently to deliver high-quality outputs while adhering to governance requirements and organisational standards
• Demonstrate professionalism, ethical behaviour, and a commitment to continuous learning and personal development
• Meet quarterly Key Performance Indicators and undertake other duties as required

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience delivering projects within a hybrid PRINCE2 and Agile environment
• Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, and reporting practices
• Recent experience delivering projects in complex Agile environments
• Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, quality, and budget effectively
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience working across both public and private sector environments (highly desirable)
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams
