Role Summary

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of emerging technology and innovation pilots, with a strong focus on AI and automation initiatives.

You will work closely with innovation and technology teams to support discovery activities (PoC, PoV, etc.) and translate outcomes into structured, executable plans that progress initiatives into production. This role requires strong end-to-end project ownership, stakeholder engagement, and delivery capability across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Employment Type: Contract (6 months + extensions)

Work Model: Hybrid

Location: Fortitude Valley, Brisbane

Key Responsibilities

·      Lead end-to-end delivery of AI and automation pilot projects

·      Translate discovery outcomes (PoC/PoV) into structured project plans and production-ready initiatives

·      Manage project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation

·      Oversee risk, issues, and dependency management across multiple concurrent projects

·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure timely, high-quality delivery

·      Apply fit-for-purpose project methodologies aligned to business objectives

·      Drive stakeholder engagement, communication, and rollout activities

 

Technical Capabilities & Experience

• Demonstrated experience delivering AI and automation initiatives or innovation pilots
• Strong expertise in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
• Experience managing vendors and third-party delivery partners
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in Agile environments and applying Agile methodologies
• Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Proven ability to lead teams and optimise delivery outcomes

Qualifications & Clearance

• Relevant project management experience in technology or innovation environments
• Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) highly regarded
• Ability to commence immediately
