Position: Senior Business Analyst
Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to provide comprehensive business analysis services for complex business and technology initiatives. The successful consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, project teams, and technical resources to gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements while supporting the delivery of enterprise-level solutions.
This role requires extensive experience in business analysis, process modeling, requirements management, Agile delivery methodologies, stakeholder engagement, and translating business needs into technology solution specifications.
Scope
Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, non-functional, and data requirements.
Conduct business process analysis, process mapping, workflow analysis, and business modeling activities.
Facilitate stakeholder workshops, Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, interviews, and requirements gathering exercises.
Collaborate with project teams to support Agile delivery, backlog management, and user story development.
Assignment Deliverables
Business requirements documentation (BRD) and functional requirements specifications.
UML artifacts including use cases, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, and workflow models.
Business process maps, process flow diagrams, and data flow models.
Product backlogs, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Traceability matrices and requirements management documentation.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
8+ years of experience providing business analysis services for complex I&IT initiatives.
Extensive experience conducting business analysis to assess business problems and document requirements that support solution design and delivery.
Strong experience using UML techniques including use cases, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, and state diagrams.
Experience with business modeling, process modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process flow modeling, and business rules analysis.
Experience facilitating requirements gathering through workshops, JAD sessions, interviews, and stakeholder consultations.
Proven ability to translate business and data requirements into technical specifications, including ETL and data integration requirements.
Nice to Have:
Experience managing requirements-related risks and mitigation strategies.
Experience using Microsoft Visio, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Figma, and JIRA.
