Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Specialist to design, develop, support, and enhance enterprise reporting and analytics solutions within a structured public‑sector environment. The successful consultant will deliver and support Business Intelligence solutions using OBIEE, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), and BI Publisher (mandatory), ensuring high‑quality, reliable reporting that supports both operational monitoring and executive decision‑making. The role requires strong analytical skills, deep technical expertise in BI platforms, and the ability to diagnose and resolve end‑to‑end reporting issues.
Scope
Design, develop, implement, and support enterprise BI and reporting solutions
Develop and support OBIEE RPD semantic models aligned to dimensional data warehouse structures
Deliver and support BI Publisher reporting solutions including scheduling, bursting, and distribution
Analyze, validate, and reconcile reporting data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Assignment Deliverables
Rewritten and delivered SPP Outlook report
OBIEE RPD semantic models reflecting enterprise dimensional structures
BI Publisher reports (RTF, Excel, PDF) with scheduling, bursting, and delivery configured
Dashboards, guided analyses, alerts, and operational reporting solutions.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
Hands‑on experience with BI Publisher (mandatory), including report development, templates (RTF/Excel/PDF), scheduling, bursting, delivery, and troubleshooting
Proven experience developing and supporting BI solutions using OBIEE and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling concepts (facts, dimensions, star/snowflake schemas, conformed dimensions, hierarchies, aggregates) and application to OBIEE semantic layer design
Strong SQL skills (SQL Server preferred), including validation, reconciliation, and performance tuning
Working knowledge of ETL architecture and data flows, including incremental and full loads, dependencies, monitoring, and error handling
Experience working within a structured delivery model using Azure DevOps (user stories, tasks, sprints, acceptance criteria)
Nice to Have:
Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge‑transfer materials
Experience working with production BI environments and supporting operational reporting
