Position: Senior Full Stack - Software Developer
Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack - Software Developer to support the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-scale web applications within a complex public sector environment.
The successful consultant will contribute to all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including architecture, application development, database integration, cloud-native deployments, DevOps automation, and production support. This opportunity requires strong expertise in Java enterprise technologies, modern front-end frameworks, cloud platforms, and scalable application architecture.
Scope
Develop and enhance cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure and containerized environments.
Build secure, scalable, and highly available RESTful API services and integrations.
Support application architecture, data modeling, and technical design activities.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, analysts, and development teams throughout the SDLC.
Assignment Deliverables
Full-stack application components and enhancements.
Technical design documents, architecture artifacts, and data models.
RESTful APIs and integration services.
Cloud deployment configurations and DevOps automation artifacts.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
Experience in n-tier web-based applications, database technologies, software, tools, Java EE (J2EE) and cloud native technologies
Experience in complex programming concepts and languages JSF, Spring, MyBatis ORM Framework, Servlets, Core Java, Liberty, Oracle 19c +, iText, React, Apache MyFaces, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, RESTful Services and SML; Eclipse, Maven, Junit, ANT Build; Multiple platforms Solaris/Linux/ Windows and system testing methods and DevOps.
Hands on experience with azure cloud, AKS, WebSphere liberty or open liberty, and DevOps tool chain.
Nice to Have:
Experience conducting design walkthroughs and mentoring junior developers.
Experience with Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodologies.
Knowledge of UX/UI principles and modern front-end design practices.
