Position: Senior Full Stack - Software Developer
Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack - Software Developer to support the design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise platform capabilities within a large-scale public sector environment.
The successful consultant will contribute to the development of secure, scalable, and maintainable applications across user interface, service, API, workflow, integration, and data-access layers. Working closely with architects, product managers, analysts, UX designers, QA specialists, DevOps engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders, the consultant will help deliver reusable platform services and enterprise-grade digital solutions supporting multiple business programs.
Scope
Design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications and platform services.
Develop frontend, backend, API, workflow, middleware, integration, and database components.
Build and support Java-based microservices, REST APIs, and Internet-facing applications.
Implement secure authentication, authorization, and communication protocols.
Participate in Agile delivery activities including sprint planning, estimation, code reviews, and release planning.
Assignment Deliverables
Enterprise-grade full stack application components and platform services.
Java-based microservices and RESTful API solutions.
Secure integration components supporting business and enterprise systems.
Automated unit, integration, API, and user interface testing assets.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
Ten (10+) years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-client web applications.
Extensive hands-on Java development experience utilizing Oracle, SQL, or comparable relational database technologies.
Significant experience designing and developing REST APIs, RESTful web services, and microservice-based architectures.
Experience developing Internet-ready applications and enterprise integration solutions.
Experience implementing security gateways and protocols including JSON Web Tokens (JWT), OAuth 2.0, SSL certificates, identity integration, and secure communications.
Experience translating technical specifications into working applications using Agile and structured development methodologies.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, refactoring, and clean code practices.
Nice to Have:
Experience supporting complex enterprise integrations, system conversions, and migration initiatives.
Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies, SQL tuning, and performance optimization.
