    Position: Senior Oracle – Business Intelligence Specialist

    Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
    Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
    Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

    This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

    About the Engagement

    Akkodis is seeking a Senior Oracle – Business Intelligence Specialist with deep expertise in Power BI (Cloud & On‑Prem), MS SQL, ETL/SSIS, semantic data modeling, release automation, and BI solution development. The consultant will support enterprise reporting, BI modernization, data pipeline development, release coordination, and business analysis activities across multiple I&IT projects.

    Scope

    • Support BI/Analytics solutions across Power BI, Cognos, Oracle, MS‑SQL, SSIS, ODAC, .NET, Git, and related technologies.

    • Manage MS SQL databases, data analysis, and data transformations

    • Lead and support ETL processes, SSIS jobs, daily operational data loads

    • Support release pipeline automation, DevOps deployment activities, and version control.

    Assignment Deliverables

    • Power BI dashboards, Paginated Reports, and semantic data models

    • ETL packages, job schedules, and data integration processes

    • Release documentation, deployment plans, and environment promotion workflows

    • Business analysis artifacts (requirements, process models, use cases, data flow diagrams).

    Expertise Required

    Must Have:

    5-7 years’ Experience:

    • Power BI Service (Cloud) – Report Design & Development

    • Power BI Server (On‑Prem) – Report Design & Development

    • MS SQL Database (Development, Queries, Optimization)

    • ETL, SSIS, Daily Operational Load Handling

    • Release Pipeline Automation and Version Control

    • Data Analysis, Data Management, and Semantic Model Development

    • Deployment coordination across Dev/QA/Prod environments.

    Nice to Have:

    • Experience with event‑driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, Event Hubs, Service Bus)

    • Hands-on exposure to Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or other cloud-based data services.
