Position: Senior Software Developer
Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to support the design, development, modernization, and maintenance of enterprise-level applications and services within a large-scale public sector environment.
The successful consultant will be responsible for translating business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions. The role requires expertise in modern cloud-based application development, API development, DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and Agile delivery methodologies. The consultant will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and project teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to deliver innovative and reliable solutions.
Scope
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise web applications, APIs, and cloud-based solutions.
Translate technical specifications and business requirements into working, tested applications.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, web services, and integration solutions using .NET technologies.
Support Azure cloud-based development initiatives utilizing SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS service models.

Expertise Required
Must Have:
Experience working with Agile methodologies and iterative development practices.
Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps-based delivery processes.
Hands-on experience developing Web Applications, Web APIs, and Web Services using ASP.NET, REST, OpenAPI, and OAuth2.
Strong experience with .NET, .NET Core, C#, JavaScript, and related development frameworks.
Experience with Entity Framework, Azure SQL, API integrations, and enterprise application development.
Proficiency across cloud service models including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
Experience using DevOps tools, task boards, source control, and deployment pipelines.
Experience designing, developing, testing, debugging, and supporting enterprise applications.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards and accessibility best practices.
Experience providing post-implementation support and issue resolution.
