    Position: Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist

    Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
    Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
    Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

    This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

    About the Engagement

    Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support complex, enterprise‑level public sector initiatives. The specialist will be responsible for leading and executing end‑to‑end testing across large‑scale, multi‑integrated systems, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, secure, and compliant technology solutions. This role requires deep experience in both manual and automated testing within Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall environments.

    Scope

    • Provide strategic testing advice, including test planning, tool selection, and resource assessment.

    • Plan and execute comprehensive testing efforts across GUI and non‑GUI system environments.

    • Develop test plans, test scripts, test cases, and test data for various phases of testing.

    • Perform functional, integration, system, regression, load, stress, and performance testing.

    Assignment Deliverables

    • Test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts

    • Regression test suites and performance testing artefacts

    • Test execution results, metrics, and defect reports

    • Quality assessment documentation and traceability matrices.

    Expertise Required

    Must Have:

    • 10+ years of software testing experience in enterprise‑level IT environments and large‑scale systems

    • Hands‑on experience in manual testing and automated testing frameworks/tools

    • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall testing methodologies

    • Experience with performance testing tools: JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalents

    • Experience with defect tracking tools: JIRA, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, etc.

    • Proven experience in end‑to‑end testing of complex, integrated systems

    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git, GitLab

    • Strong experience with AODA testing and compliance.

    Nice to Have:

    • Strong interpersonal abilities and teamwork skills

    • Ability to collaborate with functional and technical teams in large-scale environments.
