Duration: 5 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support large-scale enterprise application initiatives within a complex technology environment. This role is ideal for a senior QA professional with expertise in both manual and automated testing, API validation, accessibility compliance, test strategy development, and quality assurance leadership.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing comprehensive testing efforts across complex front-end and back-end systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Scope
Developing and executing comprehensive test strategies and test plans.
Planning and organizing testing efforts for large GUI and non-GUI systems.
Coordinating system integration testing, regression testing, performance testing, accessibility testing, and user acceptance testing.
Performing API testing, database validation, and end-to-end system verification.
Assignment Deliverables
Traceability Matrices linking business requirements to testing outcomes.
Weekly Testing Status Reports and Risk Assessments.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support Documentation.
Knowledge Transfer Documentation and Supporting Artifacts.
Final Test Summary Reports and Release Readiness Assessments.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
Experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured [AM1].
Knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services.
Ability to write and execute SQL queries for database validation and data-driven testing.
Use automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Playwright or similar to create robust and reusable test scripts.
Plans and organizes testing efforts for large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-Graphical User Interface (GUI) environments, including the execution of systems integration tests, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent platforms.
Experience testing large-scale digital transformation, modernization, or enterprise integration projects.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration within DevOps environments.
