Position: Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist
Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives and mission-critical technology projects.
The successful consultant will lead and execute comprehensive quality assurance and testing activities for complex applications, integrations, and enterprise platforms. The role requires expertise in manual and automated testing, test strategy development, performance testing, accessibility compliance, and end-to-end validation of large-scale systems.
Working closely with business stakeholders, project teams, solution architects, developers, and technical leads, the consultant will help ensure that solutions meet functional, non-functional, security, accessibility, and performance requirements while maintaining the highest quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
Scope
Perform functional, integration, system, regression, performance, accessibility, and user acceptance testing.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts and testing frameworks.
Validate application functionality, data integrity, business processes, and system integrations.
Execute API testing and backend database validation activities.
Assignment Deliverables
Performance, Load, and Stress Testing reports.
Defect logs, defect metrics, and issue tracking documentation.
Test Summary Reports and quality assessment recommendations.
Requirement traceability and test coverage documentation.
Ongoing status reporting and project support artifacts.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
10+ years of experience in software testing within enterprise-level IT environments and large-scale systems.
Hands-on experience in both manual testing and automated testing frameworks.
Extensive experience developing test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium and Postman.
Experience performing API testing and backend validation.
Strong knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases.
Experience with cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and AWS.
Nice to Have:
Experience with security testing and vulnerability validation.
Knowledge of Information Management principles, policies, and practices.
