Position: Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist
Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support quality assurance and testing activities for large-scale enterprise applications. The successful consultant will be responsible for developing and executing test strategies, managing defect lifecycles, validating system functionality, and supporting automated and manual testing initiatives across complex business solutions.
This opportunity is ideal for a QA professional with strong experience in commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications, enterprise testing methodologies, and defect management practices. Experience with Oracle Siebel CRM environments and public sector implementations is highly desirable.
Scope
Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test execution schedules.
Validate application functionality, integrations, performance, accessibility, and data quality across multiple environments.
Support testing efforts for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions, including Oracle Siebel CRM and related applications.
Collaborate with business, technical, and project teams to ensure requirements are testable and quality standards are achieved.
Assignment Deliverables
Defect logs, defect trend analysis, and defect resolution tracking reports.
Performance, stress, and load testing results and recommendations.
Accessibility (AODA) compliance validation and testing reports.
Test execution summaries, status dashboards, and quality metrics reports.
Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) and test coverage documentation.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
8+ years of experience working as a Software QA Tester.
5+ years of experience testing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications.
Experience with defect tracking and management tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, test execution plans, and test documentation.
Experience executing functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Case Management solutions.
Experience using QMetry.
Experience working within public sector environments.
Security Clearance
