Position: Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist
Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support quality assurance, testing strategy, automation, accessibility compliance, and end-to-end validation activities for enterprise-scale applications within a large and complex public sector environment.
The successful consultant will contribute to all phases of the testing lifecycle, ensuring applications meet business, functional, performance, accessibility, and security requirements. This role requires extensive expertise in test planning, automation, defect management, performance testing, data validation, CI/CD integration, and accessibility compliance within Agile and traditional delivery environments.
Scope
Plan, coordinate, and execute testing activities across large-scale enterprise applications and integrated systems.
Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data, and test reports.
Execute functional, integration, system, regression, performance, accessibility, and user acceptance testing activities.
Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts.
Conduct backend and database validation testing using SQL and related tools.
Assignment Deliverables
Automated testing frameworks and reusable automation assets.
Defect tracking, reporting, and resolution documentation.
Accessibility compliance validation reports aligned with AODA requirements.
Quality metrics, testing dashboards, and status reporting.
Performance testing reports, analysis, and recommendations..
Expertise Required
Must Have:
10+ years of experience in software testing within enterprise-level IT environments and large-scale systems.
Hands-on experience with both manual testing and automated testing tools and frameworks.
Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall testing methodologies.
Extensive experience developing test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
Strong experience with AODA testing and accessibility compliance standards.
Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Postman, TestComplete, OpenText UFT, or equivalent.
Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent.
Experience using defect management and tracking tools including JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, Bugzilla, or similar.
Nice to Have:
Experience testing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications.
Knowledge of Information Management principles, policies, and practices.
Experience with CASE tools and information retrieval packages.
Security Clearance
