    Position: Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist

    Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
    Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
    Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

    This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

    About the Engagement

    Akkodis is seeking a Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist to support large‑scale modernization, integration, and quality assurance initiatives in the Public Sector. The specialist will lead and execute comprehensive testing efforts across complex system environments, including GUI and non‑GUI applications, system integrations, COTS solutions, and registry systems.

    Scope

    • Leading the planning, organization, and implementation of testing strategies across major systems.

    • Providing guidance on testing tools, test plans, test data, and documentation requirements.

    • Executing integration, functional, non‑functional, and user acceptance testing.

    • Developing test plans, scripts, and cases for technical and business validation.

    Assignment Deliverables

    • Test strategy, test plans, and test case documentation

    • Traceability matrices

    • Test data, test accounts, and test environment validations

    • UAT support documentation.

    Expertise Required

    Must Have:

    • 5+ years of experience in planning, organizing, and implementing testing efforts.

    • Strong manual testing experience.

    • Experience executing functional, non‑functional, and system integration tests.

    • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

    • Experience working with COTS applications.

    • Experience in recording test results in MicroFocus ALM or JIRA.

    Nice to Have:

    • Experience delivering presentations or cross‑training team members.

    • Experience with operating systems, databases, network protocols, and data transformation.
