Position: Senior UX Designer
Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior UX Designer to support the design and delivery of user-centered digital experiences within a complex public sector environment. This role requires an accomplished UX professional with expertise in research, interaction design, accessibility, stakeholder engagement, and digital service design.
The successful consultant will work closely with business users, product teams, developers, QA specialists, and stakeholders to create intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. The role demands strong experience leading UX initiatives from discovery through implementation while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and user needs.
Scope
Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, workshops, surveys, and usability testing.
Translate research findings into actionable design solutions.
Create user journeys, user flows, personas, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and visual designs.
Define UX strategies and facilitate design workshops and alignment sessions.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and delivery teams to establish product direction.
Assignment Deliverables
User research findings and analysis reports.
Stakeholder workshop outputs and design recommendations.
Information architecture, user flows, and journey maps.
Wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and visual design assets.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
Relevant experience creating GUI designs based on user interaction and performance
Experience as a UX designer, interactive designer, UI designer, or similar role, designing for web and mobile applications
ability to define and lead UX projects and design workshops and alignment sessions with stakeholder, business users
Experience with Figma, Canva and similar tools
Demonstrated effectiveness in working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA specialists, and business stakeholders, to achieve common project goals.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of accessibility testing methodologies.
Experience working with the Design System.
Knowledge of Digital Service Standards.
Security Clearance
