IT Infrastructure Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer with a client in Cleveland, Ohio.  We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to support a dynamic infrastructure team responsible for maintaining and enhancing enterprise networking and cloud-focused environments. This individual will work closely with the Director of Infrastructure, Sr. Core Infrastructure Manager, Infrastructure Engineer, and Endpoint Engineer to assist with ongoing projects, infrastructure improvements, and operational support.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft hybrid environments, cloud technologies, Windows Server administration, Entra ID (Azure AD), and enterprise networking. This person must be self-motivated, capable of assessing technical environments, and comfortable filling infrastructure gaps while contributing to both project and operational work.  This is a contract position.

 

Rate Range: $55/hr up to $65/hr; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

IT Infrastructure Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Support enterprise networking initiatives and infrastructure projects.

• Administer and maintain Microsoft hybrid and cloud-based environments.

• Manage and support Windows Server technologies and Active Directory/Entra ID.

• Evaluate existing infrastructure and recommend improvements.

• Assist with infrastructure modernization and cloud transformation efforts.

• Troubleshoot server, network, identity, and connectivity issues.

• Collaborate with infrastructure and endpoint teams to execute project deliverables.

• Provide technical support on priority initiatives and operational needs.

• Identify gaps in current environments and proactively implement solutions

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Network Engineer.

• Strong expertise with Microsoft hybrid environments and cloud technologies.

• Deep knowledge of Windows Server administration.

• Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory.

• Solid networking background including troubleshooting and infrastructure support.

• Ability to independently assess environments and recommend solutions.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
