Accessibility test engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Accessibility test engineer for a Contract with a client in San Jose, CA / Morrisville, NC. We are seeking an Accessibility Test Engineer to evaluate digital products for compliance with accessibility standards and deliver detailed recommendations to improve usability for all users.

Rate Range: $44/Hour to $45/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Accessibility test engineer Responsibilities include:

• Perform accessibility testing and evaluations across web, desktop, and mobile applications on Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS platforms.

• Assess products for compliance with WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, and EN 301 549 accessibility standards.

• Execute testing using assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack to identify accessibility barriers.

• Utilize accessibility testing tools, color contrast analyzers, and code inspection tools to validate user experience and compliance.

• Document findings and create detailed accessibility reports with clear remediation recommendations for development teams.

• Collaborate with designers, developers, and product teams to ensure accessibility requirements are integrated throughout the product lifecycle.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in accessibility testing, assessment, and compliance validation.

• Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, and EN 301 549 accessibility standards and best practices.

• Experience testing applications across Windows, macOS, Web, Android, and iOS platforms using assistive technologies.

Pay Details: $44.00 to $45.00 per hour
