Agentic AI Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Agentic AI Engineer for a Contract with a client in O Fallon, MO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable backend applications and Agentic AI solutions using Java and Spring Boot while ensuring reliable API integrations and event-driven processing.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Agentic AI Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and Agentic AI solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and modern software engineering best practices.

• Build and support RESTful APIs, backend automation services, and event-driven applications to enable scalable and reliable system integrations.

• Develop and optimize database interactions using Oracle and PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in architecture discussions, and deliver high-quality technical solutions.

• Troubleshoot application issues, perform code reviews, and implement enhancements while ensuring clean, maintainable, and secure code.

• Support CI/CD processes using tools such as Jenkins and contribute to deployment, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives within Agile development environments.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.

• 5-8 years of experience in Java backend development, enterprise application development, and API-based solutions.

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST API development, Agentic AI application development, SQL (Oracle/PostgreSQL), and Event-Driven Architecture.

• Proven experience with backend automation, CI/CD processes (Jenkins), Agile development methodologies, and building scalable, high-performance enterprise applications; exposure to Kafka and Pivotal Cloud Foundry is preferred.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
