AI Engineering Lead

Akkodis is seeking an AI Engineering Lead for a Direct Hire with a client in Exton, PA (Hybrid). The ideal candidate must have proven expertise in AI engineering, agent frameworks, and MLOps while leading end-to-end AI feature delivery, mentoring engineers, and ensuring operational excellence of AI services.

Salary Range: $140K/Yearly to $160K/Yearly; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

AI Engineering Lead Job Responsibilities include:

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring of AI-enabled product features and solutions.

• Build and maintain AI applications, including intelligent agents, natural language interfaces, RAG solutions, and data-driven insights platforms.

• Implement and optimize AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.

• Evaluate, deploy, and promote AI-powered developer tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and automation across the SDLC.

• Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, and provide mentorship to engineering teams on AI development best practices and standards.

• Monitor and support production AI services, including performance, reliability, cost optimization, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of MLOps processes.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related technical discipline; master’s degree preferred.

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML-powered applications in production environments.

• Proven expertise with AI technologies, including LLMs, AI agents, RAG architectures, LangChain/LangGraph, prompt engineering, and AI service integrations.

• Strong experience leading technical delivery, mentoring engineering teams, conducting code reviews, and supporting MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and production AI operations.
