Apigee Architect

Akkodis is seeking an Apigee Architect for a Contract with a client in Jersey City, NJ / Dallas, TX/ Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will lead the end-to-end migration of Apigee Edge to Apigee Hybrid, ensuring a secure, scalable, and high-performing API platform.

Rate Range: $53/Hour to $56/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Apigee Architect Responsibilities include:

• Lead the end-to-end migration of Apigee Edge to Apigee Hybrid, ensuring successful delivery and platform stability.

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available API management solutions on GCP and Kubernetes/OpenShift.

• Define migration strategies, architecture standards, deployment plans, and cutover activities for enterprise API platforms.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Security, Network, DevOps, IAM, and Infrastructure to ensure seamless integration.

• Drive API governance, CI/CD automation, performance optimization, monitoring, and operational excellence.

• Provide technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and architectural guidance to ensure successful business outcomes.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 15+ years of experience in API Management, Integration Architecture, and enterprise-scale digital transformation programs.

• Proven expertise with Apigee Edge, Apigee Hybrid, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.

• Strong experience designing secure API architectures, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS/mTLS, IAM, and enterprise identity integrations.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
