Artificial Intelligence Developer I

Akkodis is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Developer I for a Contract job with a client in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business and technical teams to design, develop, and deploy AI-driven applications utilizing Microsoft Azure AI technologies, Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, Power Platform, and Anthropic Claude solutions to solve real-world business challenges.

Rate Range: $98/hour to $100/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Artificial Intelligence Developer I job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered applications, automation workflows, and machine learning solutions using Python and Microsoft Azure technologies.

• Develop and implement generative AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, and AI-assisted software development solutions to support business objectives.

• Build and integrate solutions utilizing Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, Azure Machine Learning, Anthropic Claude models, and related AI platforms.

• Develop Python-based applications, scripts, APIs, and data processing pipelines while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

• Support prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic AI, Copilot-based solutions, and intelligent automation initiatives.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define AI use cases, and translate business challenges into scalable technology solutions.

• Participate in solution design sessions, workshops, testing activities, demonstrations, and stakeholder reviews.

• Document experiments, models, technical designs, deployment procedures, testing activities, and operational support requirements.

• Create reusable AI frameworks, templates, standards, and best practices to support enterprise AI development initiatives.

• Present project updates, technical findings, proof-of-concepts, and business value outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical discipline.

• Recent graduate within the past two years or expected graduate prior to employment start date.

• Experience using Python for software development, automation, machine learning, AI, data analytics, or related technical projects through coursework, internships, research, personal projects, or professional experience.

• Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including supervised learning, model training, evaluation techniques, and deployment concepts.

• Knowledge of software development principles, APIs, cloud computing concepts, and modern development practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, Microsoft Power Platform, or related cloud-based AI technologies.

• Experience developing AI, machine learning, automation, analytics, or data-driven applications.

• Knowledge of SQL, Git, REST APIs, and software development lifecycle methodologies.

• Exposure to Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric, Dataverse, or Power Platform solutions.

• Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, vector databases, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and generative AI concepts.

• Experience building full-stack applications, cloud-native solutions, or AI-enabled software products.

• Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Cloud Technologies are considered a plus.

Pay Details: $98.00 to $100.00 per hour
