Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an AV Support Technician for a Contract job with a client in New York, NY. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience supporting audio-visual systems, video conferencing technologies, and corporate meeting spaces, along with strong troubleshooting and customer support skills.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $44/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

AV Support Technician job responsibilities include:

  • Diagnose and resolve audio, video, connectivity, and configuration issues within conference rooms and event spaces.

  • Support and maintain Cisco video conferencing systems, AV equipment, and collaboration technologies.

  • Perform routine meeting room health checks, ensuring equipment functionality, room readiness, and user experience standards are met.

  • Provide Level 2 AV support for escalated technical issues and complex troubleshooting scenarios.

  • Support corporate events through AV setup, testing, monitoring, and live event troubleshooting.

  • Execute meeting room refresh and upgrade activities, including equipment replacements, cabling updates, and system validation.

  • Manage AV spare equipment inventory and coordinate replacement of defective hardware.

  • Administer the RMA process for failed equipment and maintain accurate service and repair records.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree, Technical Certification, or equivalent experience in Audio Visual Technology, IT, or related field.

  • Experience supporting corporate AV environments and meeting room technologies.

  • Strong knowledge of Cisco video conferencing systems and AV hardware.

  • Experience troubleshooting audio, video, networking, and connectivity issues.

  • Familiarity with conference room technologies, presentation systems, and collaboration platforms.

  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing equipment inventory and asset tracking.

  • Ability to work independently and respond effectively in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting executive conference rooms and large corporate events.

  • Familiarity with AV control systems, digital signage, and room scheduling solutions.

  • Knowledge of IT support processes and ticketing systems.

  • Experience with equipment deployment, room technology refreshes, and lifecycle management.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $44.00 per hour
