Azure Cloud Security Technical Lead

Akkodis is seeking an Azure Cloud Security Technical Lead for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The candidate will design secure hybrid workforce solutions and lead cloud security initiatives focused on Identity and Access Management while guiding architecture decisions across cloud environments.

Rate Range: $56/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Azure Cloud Security Technical Lead job responsibilities include:

• Lead the design of hybrid workforce security architectures, ensuring secure authentication and authorization aligned with cloud security best practices.

• Guide cloud security solution development by reviewing architectures, advising application and infrastructure teams, and driving IAM‑focused security implementations.

• Provide in‑depth technical consultation on Azure cloud adoption, cloud migration programs, and the integration of cloud‑native security controls.

• Define and evaluate target security architectures, selecting appropriate emerging technologies and ensuring alignment with audit, compliance, and enterprise security standards.

• Drive cloud security initiatives with a strong focus on IAM, including entitlement management, privileged access controls, and secure cloud service configurations.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve security posture, deliver technical guidance, document best practices, and promote knowledge sharing across the organization.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• 10+ years of experience in cloud security, IAM engineering, and enterprise security architecture.

• Strong hands‑on expertise in Azure cloud security, authentication and authorization frameworks, and Identity & Access Management within hybrid workforce environments.

• Proven ability to design secure cloud architectures, lead IAM‑focused security initiatives, and provide deep technical guidance across cloud migration and modernization programs.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $65.00 per hour
