Business Analyst

Akkodis is seeking a Business Analyst for a Contract with a client in Bridgewater, NJ. The ideal candidate with experience driving product strategy, backlog management, and Agile delivery initiatives to support digital transformation and business growth within the insurance domain.

Rate Range: $41/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Business Analyst Job Responsibilities include:

• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals, strategic priorities, and insurance domain requirements.

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

• Lead Agile activities including backlog grooming, sprint planning, release planning, story estimation, and stakeholder review sessions.

• Collaborate with business, technology, and operational teams across Policy Administration, Claims, Underwriting, Billing, and Customer Experience functions.

• Drive product modernization, digital transformation, and AI-enabled initiatives by identifying opportunities for Generative AI and workflow automation solutions.

• Partner with development, QA, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery, UAT support, risk management, and continuous improvement.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, Insurance, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Product Management, or Agile Delivery, preferably within the Insurance domain.

• Strong expertise in Product Backlog Management, Agile/Scrum methodologies, stakeholder management, release planning, user story development, and insurance business processes including Claims, Underwriting, Policy Administration, and Billing.

• Proven experience driving digital transformation initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and identifying opportunities for Generative AI, Agentic AI, and AI-enabled business solutions within regulated insurance environments.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $53.00 per hour
