Business Analyst

Modis is seeking a Business Analyst for a Contract job with a client in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting document modernization initiatives through business process analysis, backlog management, testing coordination, stakeholder engagement, and documentation activities while ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology solutions.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $57/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Business Analyst job responsibilities include:

• Analyze business processes, systems, and operational requirements to identify opportunities for improvement and define effective business solutions.

• Gather, document, analyze, and validate business requirements while ensuring alignment between business needs and technology solutions.

• Manage and prioritize product backlogs, coordinating with stakeholders and project teams to support successful project execution.

• Develop detailed acceptance criteria, functional requirements, process documentation, training materials, and business workflows.

• Perform functional testing, regression testing, production validation, migration testing coordination, and defect management activities.

• Create, maintain, and execute test scripts to support business and system validation efforts.

• Utilize Atlassian JIRA to manage requirements, track defects, support testing activities, and monitor project progress.

• Research and analyze production issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution efforts with technical and business teams.

• Develop business process documentation and detailed process models to support transformation and modernization initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with Enterprise Document Solutions, IAP, Planning Group, and other key stakeholders to ensure project success.

• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirements sessions, solution reviews, and business process discussions.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong experience in Requirements Analysis, business process evaluation, and business solution development.

• Experience performing functional testing, regression testing, and system validation activities within enterprise environments.

• Advanced proficiency with Atlassian JIRA for requirements management, issue tracking, backlog management, and testing coordination.

• Proven experience creating business process documentation, workflow diagrams, requirements documents, and user stories.

• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and business analysis best practices.

• Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting complex business and technical requirements.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced experience with Business Process Documentation and process improvement initiatives.

• Experience supporting Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and migration testing activities.

• Familiarity with document management systems, content management platforms, or document modernization initiatives.

• Experience supporting enterprise transformation projects and business process optimization efforts.

• Knowledge of Agile frameworks, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and stakeholder management practices.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $57.00 per hour
