Akkodis is seeking a Buyer for a Contract job with a client in Moses Lake, WA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for procuring materials, tracking orders, coordinating supplier activities, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services to support aircraft modification and manufacturing operations.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Buyer job responsibilities include:

• Coordinate procurement activities for raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and services required to support manufacturing and aircraft modification programs.

• Schedule, monitor, and expedite material deliveries to ensure alignment with production schedules, maintenance requirements, and customer commitments.

• Communicate with suppliers to obtain pricing, availability, lead times, delivery schedules, and product information.

• Prepare purchase orders, bid requests, sourcing documentation, and procurement-related records.

• Support supplier negotiations and administer supplier agreements within established levels of authority.

• Analyze supplier quotations, pricing proposals, and financial data to ensure competitive and reasonable pricing.

• Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchased items, costs, supplier performance, inventories, and delivery metrics.

• Expedite deliveries and coordinate with suppliers to resolve material shortages, delivery delays, and quality concerns.

• Investigate and resolve issues related to defective materials, supplier performance, and contract compliance in collaboration with quality and operational teams.

• Process and approve invoices within authorized limits while ensuring purchasing documentation is complete and accurate.

• Support departmental objectives through effective procurement planning, supplier management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Operations Management, or a related field.

• Two to four years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, materials management, or sourcing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience supporting manufacturing, aerospace, aviation, or industrial operations is preferred.

• Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier negotiations, contract administration, and materials planning principles.

• Experience working with ERP, MRP, procurement, or inventory management systems.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate pricing, supplier proposals, costs, and purchasing data.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and technical documentation.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Aerospace, aviation, or aircraft interiors industry experience.

• Familiarity with procurement of raw materials, commodities, and specialized aircraft interior components.

• Experience supporting supplier negotiations and vendor performance management initiatives.

• Knowledge of inventory optimization, material forecasting, and supply chain best practices.

• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and achieving procurement-related performance metrics.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
