Custom Software Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Custom Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience in Python, Java, Automation Testing, Integration Testing, AI Models, and G3 Stack technologies, along with strong backend development and troubleshooting skills.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $57/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Custom Software Engineer Job Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and maintain backend applications and services using Python and Java while supporting scalable, high-performance enterprise solutions.

• Design, develop, and execute automation and integration test suites for AI platforms, enterprise applications, and partner integrations.

• Work with AI models and AI tools to support implementation, optimization, model tuning, and workflow automation initiatives.

• Develop and maintain integrations between AI platforms, backend systems, APIs, MCP servers, and third-party applications.

• Analyze application logs, troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions to improve system reliability.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, testing, and business teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and support end-to-end development lifecycles.

• Support backend configuration management, deployment activities, and technical validation processes.

• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software quality and maintainability.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• A minimum of five to eight years of experience in software development, backend engineering, or enterprise application development.

• Strong hands-on experience with Python and Java application development.

• Experience designing and executing automation testing and integration testing frameworks for complex enterprise systems.

• Knowledge of G3 Stack technologies and enterprise application ecosystems.

• Experience working with AI tools, AI platforms, MCP servers, and machine learning-enabled applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Google Gemini and other Generative AI platforms.

• Hands-on experience with AI model tuning, prompt optimization, and large language model implementations.

• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and AI-powered workflow automation solutions.

• Experience developing applications using Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.

• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and modern software engineering practices.

• Experience supporting enterprise AI transformations and intelligent automation initiatives.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $57.00 per hour
