    Akkodis is seeking a Data & AI Engineer for a Contract with a client in New York, NY. The candidate must have strong expertise in building scalable data pipelines and cloud‑native solutions using Python, SQL, and GCP services to support advanced analytics and AI use cases.

    Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

    Data & AI Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Design and build scalable batch and streaming data pipelines to support real‑time and near‑real‑time Lounge Services analytics.

    • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for structured and unstructured data sourced from MongoDB, PostgreSQL, APIs, and third‑party systems.

    • Architect and manage cloud‑native data infrastructures using GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Storage.

    • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks to ensure data quality, integrity, and governance standards are consistently met.

    • Collaborate with analytics, product, and business teams to define data requirements and deliver high‑quality, analytics‑ready datasets.

    • Optimize data processing and storage through partitioning, indexing, and performance‑focused design to ensure efficiency and scalability.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.

    • 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, big data technologies, and cloud‑based data solutions.

    • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, ETL/ELT development, and building data connectors across relational and non‑relational databases.

    • Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub) and designing scalable, cloud‑native data pipelines.

    Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour
