Shift Supervisor

Role purpose: Command the assigned shift, coordinate safe execution of dispatched work, and provide a reliable handoff between shifts and between the supplier and operations interface.
Reports to: Site Operations Manager

Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors
Work location: Amarillo, Texas

Key responsibilities

• Run shift start-up, staffing check, safety brief, priority review, work allocation, and end-of-shift handoff.

• Dispatch and sequence work in Talos, confirm prerequisites, manage blocked tasks, and escalate exceptions without bypassing NTK or change controls.

• Provide floor coaching and verify that technicians follow approved procedures for component swaps, deployments, cabling, moves, decommissions, and media handling.

• Perform first-line quality checks on labels, ports, connectors, polarity, seating, evidence, and task closure.

• Track shift throughput, WUs, backlog, aging, rework, safety observations, and attendance.

• Coordinate with Operations Managers through the defined supplier governance model; do not create a co-employment conflict by directly transferring employment management to.

• Lead immediate response to incidents, safety concerns, security events, and service-impacting blockers.

Required qualifications and experience

• 7+ years supervising data-center, field service, warehouse technology, or infrastructure operations.

• Hands-on experience with server hardware, racks, cabling, storage, or network equipment.

• Comfort with shift leadership, dispatch systems, work documentation, and escalation.

• Able to coach diverse technical teams in a high-compliance environment.

Performance expectations

• Complete shift handoffs with no material loss of operational context.

• Work is allocated to qualified personnel and completed with accurate evidence.

• Defects, safety issues, and blockers are identified early and escalated promptly.

Role notes / deployment assumptions

• Preferred: ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Server+/Network+, or equivalent.

• Recommended as one accountable supervisor per active shift per building, subject to final staffing and span-of-control validation.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
