    Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in O'Fallon, MO / Purchase, NY / Boston, MA. The ideal candidate is responsible for building secure, reliable, and scalable data pipelines across enterprise platforms.

    Rate Range: $53/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

    Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

    • Design and develop complex, reusable data workflows using Apache Airflow for scheduling, orchestration, and monitoring of enterprise data pipelines.

    • Build and optimize high‑volume data ingestion and streaming pipelines using Apache NiFi with custom processors and controller services.

    • Develop and maintain large‑scale data processing jobs using Apache Spark and integrate them with Airflow and NiFi frameworks.

    • Implement and manage object storage solutions using MinIO and AWS S3 to ensure data availability, durability, and performance.

    • Secure data pipelines and platforms using SSL/TLS, mTLS, certificate management, IAM, and Java Keystores.

    • Perform Linux/Unix system administration tasks, including environment setup, performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and automation via shell scripting.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.

    • 6–8 years of experience in data engineering or large‑scale data platform development.

    • Strong hands‑on expertise with Apache Airflow and Apache NiFi for orchestration, high‑volume data ingestion, and workflow automation.

    • Proven experience with Spark, Java/Python, Linux environments, and secure cloud‑based data solutions using AWS S3, IAM, and certificate management.

    Pay Details: $53.00 to $64.00 per hour
