Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer II for a Contract with a client in Sunnyvale, CA(Remote). The candidate must have strong expertise in building scalable data pipelines with deep proficiency in API integration, Snowflake, Databricks, and relational databases to be considered for this role.
Rate Range: $62/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Data Engineer II job responsibilities include:
Design and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines that extract and process data from third‑party and internal APIs.
Implement ETL/ELT workflows to transform, clean, and structure data for reliable consumption across analytics platforms.
Manage and optimize database schemas and storage strategies within Snowflake and Postgres environments.
Utilize Databricks for data processing, orchestration, and pipeline development to support large‑scale data operations.
Collaborate with data analysts and BI developers to ensure data models meet performance and reporting requirements.
Monitor pipelines for performance issues, troubleshoot discrepancies, and implement improvements to maintain data integrity.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
4–6 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on API integration, Databricks processing, Snowflake, and relational database management.
Strong ability to design scalable API‑driven data pipelines and optimize database structures within Snowflake and Postgres environments.
Proven hands‑on proficiency with Databricks for data processing and ETL workflows while supporting analytics teams with clean, structured, and performant datasets.

Pay Details: $62.00 to $64.00 per hour
