Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate is responsible for building reliable, scalable data pipelines and ELT workflows to ensure accurate and timely data delivery across the organization.
Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT workflows using Python, PySpark, and Apache Airflow.
Develop and manage workflow orchestration to ensure reliable, automated data ingestion and transformation processes.
Implement custom data connectors to ingest structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
Apply DataOps best practices, including data CI/CD pipelines, to improve reliability, performance, and deployment efficiency.
Monitor, validate, and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, document data workflows, and support enterprise analytics initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
6–8 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, ELT development, and large‑scale data pipeline implementation.
Strong expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, and Apache Airflow for building and orchestrating enterprise‑grade data pipelines.
Proven experience implementing DataOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and integrating data across platforms such as Snowflake, Hive, and Trino in Agile environments.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
