Data Engineer with Databricks

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer with Databricks for a Contract with a client in Tampa FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Spark to support enterprise data initiatives.

Rate Range: $45/Hour to $47/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Engineer with Databricks Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines on Databricks using Apache Spark.

• Build and optimize batch and real-time streaming data solutions to process large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data workflows to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.

• Implement data governance, security, and compliance standards across data engineering processes.

• Optimize Databricks clusters and data architectures for cost efficiency, scalability, and operational excellence.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.

• 4-6 years of experience in Data Engineering with strong hands-on expertise in Databricks and Apache Spark.

• Proven experience designing, building, and optimizing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and processing large-scale data in cloud-based environments.

• Strong proficiency in Databricks, Spark, SQL, and AI Agents, with experience supporting both batch and real-time data processing workloads.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $47.00 per hour
