Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Department Support Specialist II for a Contract job with a client in Warrenville, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience providing administrative support, project coordination, reporting, and departmental operations support within a fast-paced business environment.

Rate Range: $20/hour to $22/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Department Support Specialist II Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide administrative and operational support for department activities while ensuring tasks are completed accurately and within established timelines.

  • Support multiple projects simultaneously by tracking deliverables, maintaining documentation, coordinating schedules, and assisting with project-related communications.

  • Compile, organize, analyze, and maintain business data used for reporting, operational tracking, and management decision-making.

  • Generate reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and other business documents to support departmental objectives and stakeholder needs.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and business partners to gather information, resolve issues, and ensure efficient execution of department processes.

Desired Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • A minimum of five years of experience providing administrative support, project coordination, operational support, or related business support services.

  • Demonstrated experience compiling data, generating reports, maintaining records, and supporting multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other business productivity tools.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting utility, energy, engineering, operations, finance, or corporate business functions.

  • Familiarity with project tracking tools, reporting systems, databases, or enterprise business applications.

  • Experience preparing executive-level reports, presentations, dashboards, or business performance summaries.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and customer service.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
