Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Boston, MA. The candidate must have hands-on experience with the ThingWorx platform, including custom extension development using Java or .NET, to be considered for this role.
Rate Range: $53/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Developer job responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain IIoT applications using the ThingWorx platform, including mashup creation and component installation.
Create custom ThingWorx extensions using Java or .NET to enhance platform functionality.
Design and implement edge solutions using ThingWorx client SDK, including data visualization with charts, gauges, and meters.
Integrate ThingWorx with external systems, including SSO, REST APIs, and industrial protocols like MQTT and OPC.
Collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions aligned with enterprise architecture.
Support DevOps processes and deployment strategies, including validation, automation, and Linux-based environment management.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in IIoT application development and platform integration.
Hands-on experience with ThingWorx platform including mashup creation, custom extensions, and edge development.
Strong knowledge of industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC), and experience with SSO integration, DevOps processes, and Linux environments.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $68.00 per hour
