Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Cary, NC. The ideal candidate will design and optimize scalable batch and real-time data pipelines using Azure Databricks, ADF, Kafka, and Spark to support enterprise data integration and migration initiatives.

Rate Range: $53/Hour to $54/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines using Azure Databricks, ADF, Kafka, and Azure Data Lake.

• Build and optimize ETL/ELT solutions using SQL, Python, PySpark, or Scala to support enterprise data integration needs.

• Implement and support Data Lake/Lakehouse architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Lead data migration initiatives from legacy platforms, including Postgres databases, to Azure cloud environments using APIs and modern integration tools.

• Apply data quality, governance, metadata, lineage, and access control standards across data platforms.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Scrum teams, and project stakeholders to deliver scalable and cost-effective data engineering solutions.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering with strong expertise in Azure-based data platforms and cloud data solutions.

• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL, Python/PySpark, and Postgres database migrations.

• Proven experience building batch and real-time data pipelines using Kafka, Spark, and big data technologies, along with expertise in ETL/ELT development and data integration.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $54.00 per hour
