Developer-Full Stack Senior

Akkodis is seeking a Developer-Full Stack Senior for a Contract with a client in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Python-based data applications, ETL pipelines, and RESTful APIs to support large-scale data processing and analytics.

Rate Range: $85/hour to $90/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer-Full Stack Senior Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications to support data processing, analytics, and business-critical workflows.

• Build and enhance RESTful APIs using Flask or FastAPI, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.

• Develop, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, including complex SQL queries, data models, and performance tuning.

• Architect and support ETL pipelines and data transformation processes using Informatica, PySpark, and other modern data-processing frameworks.

• Work with large datasets to ensure efficient data ingestion, transformation, storage, and data quality across systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and mentor junior developers while promoting development best practices.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).

• 5+ years of professional Python development experience, including at least 2 years of recent experience working on data-intensive applications and large-scale data processing solutions.

• Strong expertise in Python, PostgreSQL, SQL, and API development using Flask or FastAPI, with proven experience designing and optimizing scalable data-driven applications.

• Hands-on experience with ETL development, data transformation frameworks (PySpark, Dask, Polars, etc.), and managing large datasets while ensuring data quality, integrity, and performance.

Pay Details: $85.00 to $90.00 per hour
