dSPACE Plant Model Engineer

Akkodis is recruiting for a dSpace Plant Model Engineer for an automotive manufacturer in the Dearborn, MI area. This is an onsite contract position with a pay range of $40 an hour to $55 an hour depending on education, experience and location. Work with cross-functional teams to identify plant model requirements for HIL and system integration testing.

• Develop and support real-time simulation models using MATLAB/Simulink, Simscape, ASM, CarMaker, and related tools.

• Build, configure, and debug dSPACE HIL racks, including processor and I/O cards.

• Support integration and validation of plant models for closed-loop testing.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in plant modeling, real-time simulation, or HIL systems for automotive applications.

• Strong hands-on experience with dSPACE ASM, processor cards, I/O cards, and HIL rack building/debugging.

• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and Simscape.

• Experience in developing vehicle- and system-level plant models for real-time HIL applications.

• Good knowledge of automotive subsystems such as:

• Vehicle dynamics and traffic simulation

• Electric machines and components

• EV architecture and power flow

• Chassis, powertrain, ADAS, and body system interactions

• Experience with dSPACE HIL simulators and ControlDesk.

• Ability to configure and work independently with RTI CAN MM and BUS Manager.

• Knowledge of radar, LiDAR, camera sensors, and I/O systems.

• Experience with plant model development using CarMaker, CarSim, ASM, or DYNA4.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $55.00 per hour
