EHS Technician

Akkodis is seeking an EHS Technician for a Contract with a client in Pomona, CA. The ideal candidate supports environmental, health, and safety programs by conducting audits, investigations, training, and compliance activities to maintain a safe and regulatory-compliant workplace.

Rate Range: $24/hour to $25/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

EHS Technician Job Responsibilities include:

• Assist with accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes and supporting corrective action implementation.

• Conduct EHS audits, inspections, and facility tours to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

• Deliver EHS training programs, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), environmental compliance, and workplace safety awareness.

• Maintain environmental, health, safety, and industrial hygiene records, databases, and regulatory reports.

• Support hazardous waste management, recycling initiatives, and environmental permit compliance activities.

• Collaborate with plant leadership and supervisors to promote a safe work environment, reduce workplace risks, and ensure regulatory compliance.

 

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred.

• 2–3 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) or a related field.

• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, MIOSHA, and other applicable environmental and safety regulations.

• Experience conducting EHS audits, incident investigations, safety training, hazardous waste management, and regulatory compliance activities.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $25.00 per hour
