Akkodis is seeking an Electronics Technician for a Contract job with a client in Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate will have experience in electronic circuit board diagnostics, component-level repair, test equipment operation, and manufacturing support, along with the ability to analyze fault data and troubleshoot complex electronic assemblies.
Rate Range: $28/hour to $31/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Electronics Technician Job Responsibilities Include:
Perform 5DX verification testing and diagnose electronic circuit board assemblies by identifying faults and determining corrective actions required to restore functionality.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuit board assemblies to the component level while following established repair, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
Analyze fault data generated from testing systems and utilize results to perform rework activities and support process improvement initiatives.
Operate electronic test and measurement equipment effectively to verify product functionality, identify failures, and validate repair quality.
Review and interpret Bills of Material (BOMs), visual aids, deviations, testing procedures, work instructions, and engineering documentation to support diagnostic and repair activities.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Test Engineering teams to improve diagnostic efficiency, support yield improvement initiatives, and achieve production quality objectives.
Desired Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
Experience performing component-level troubleshooting, diagnostics, testing, and repair of electronic circuit board assemblies within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong understanding of electronic components, circuit board functionality, diagnostic methodologies, and repair techniques.
Demonstrated ability to operate electronic test equipment and measurement instruments used for troubleshooting, validation, and repair activities.
Experience reading and interpreting BOMs, assembly documentation, testing procedures, engineering instructions, and manufacturing specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with automated inspection systems, 5DX verification equipment, X-ray inspection technologies, or electronic manufacturing validation processes.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, process improvement methodologies, and production yield optimization initiatives.
Experience supporting high-volume electronics manufacturing, circuit board assembly, or contract manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of quality assurance practices, defect analysis techniques, and corrective action processes related to electronic assemblies.
Advanced computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Windows-based applications and manufacturing software systems.
Ability to support cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams while contributing to process improvements and production objectives.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $31.00 per hour
