Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Island Heights, NJ. Candidate must have strong expertise in equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification within highly regulated environments, backed by solid experience in pharmaceutical or consumer health operations.

Rate Range: $30/hour to $37/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Lead equipment engineering activities across installation, commissioning, qualification, and full lifecycle management.

• Execute commissioning, decommissioning, line clearance, and calibration tasks while ensuring all documentation remains accurate and up to date.

• Coordinate closely with validation teams, technicians, and cross‑functional groups to support equipment readiness and compliance.

• Develop technical protocols (URS, FRS, FAT, SAT) and detailed reports for qualification, equipment changes, and system updates.

• Review equipment layouts, redline drawings, and oversee updates across mechanical, electrical, and utility documentation.

• Ensure equipment records are maintained in the system, including additions, removals, and updates for regulatory and operational alignment.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• 6–8 years of industry experience with at least 4 years in equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification.

• Strong hands‑on background in equipment lifecycle activities including commissioning, decommissioning, calibrations, and part changeovers within regulated environments.

• Proven experience working with solid dose, liquid dose, and blister equipment along with proficiency in cGMP documentation and compliance practices.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $37.00 per hour
