Your Role
Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Technician for a Contract job with a client in Palm Bay, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting environmental testing, aerospace hardware validation, test operations, and technical troubleshooting, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Rate Range: $24/hour to $26/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Engineering Technician Job Responsibilities Include:
Set up, operate, and execute environmental exposure tests in accordance with approved procedures, engineering requirements, and testing specifications for high-value aerospace and defense hardware.
Monitor active test events to ensure compliance with established operating parameters, safety requirements, test procedures, and environmental limits.
Identify, troubleshoot, and respond to test anomalies, failures, or out-of-limit conditions to minimize impact on hardware, schedules, and test data integrity.
Support failure investigations by documenting test observations, collecting data, recording anomalies, and assisting with root cause analysis activities.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and test organizations to ensure successful test execution, issue resolution, and completion of required documentation.
Desired Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of four years of relevant aerospace, engineering, testing, manufacturing, or technical experience, or an Associate Degree with zero to two years of related experience.
Experience supporting engineering test environments, aerospace programs, laboratory operations, environmental testing, or technical validation activities.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills gained through customer service, technical support, manufacturing, or team-based environments.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues, analyze problems, and respond effectively in fast-paced operational settings.
Ability to follow detailed procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and support multiple testing activities with a strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience operating environmental testing equipment such as thermal chambers, vibration shakers, thermal-vacuum chambers, or related test systems.
Experience supporting MIL-STD-810 environmental qualification testing and associated aerospace or defense validation activities.
Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing, defense programs, hardware testing, environmental stress testing, and reliability verification processes.
Experience participating in failure analysis, anomaly resolution, corrective action investigations, and root cause analysis activities.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
