Exterior Feasibility DRE Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Exterior Feasibility DRE Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will help drive exterior feasibility and design integration by partnering with Studio and Engineering teams to develop practical surface solutions and resolve design-to-engineering challenges.

Rate Range: $42/Hour to $45/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Exterior Feasibility DRE Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Lead exterior feasibility activities between Design Release Engineering and Studio Engineering teams.

• Develop and maintain engineering hard points and master sections to support Class A surface development.

• Evaluate studio-released surfaces against engineering requirements and manufacturing constraints.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design feasibility issues and achieve engineering alignment.

• Create 2D feasibility sections and 3D CAD solutions using CAD tools to support vehicle development.

• Support rear-ends vehicle systems feasibility, including liftgates, tailgates, bumpers, fascias, and taillamps.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Design Release, Design Studio Integration, or Body Exterior engineering.

• Strong CAD proficiency with the ability to create 2D feasibility sections and 3D engineering solutions.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams to evaluate and resolve design feasibility and integration challenges.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $45.00 per hour
