Industry Subject Matter Advisor

Akkodis is seeking an Industry Subject Matter Advisor for a Contract job with a client in Milford Mill, MD. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in SAP Transportation Management (TM) and SAP TM integration with SAP EWM, along with experience delivering complex transportation and logistics transformation initiatives.

Rate Range: $89/hour to $92/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Industry Subject Matter Advisor job responsibilities include:

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Transportation Management (TM) solutions across transportation and logistics operations.

• Design and support integrations between SAP TM and SAP EWM to ensure seamless execution of end-to-end supply chain processes.

• Develop innovative solutions to complex transportation planning, execution, and freight management challenges.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable SAP TM solutions.

• Support external carrier integrations and transportation network connectivity using industry-standard integration frameworks.

• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Stay current on SAP TM innovations, transportation industry trends, and logistics best practices.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Transportation Management (TM).

• 6+ years of experience integrating SAP TM with SAP EWM.

• Strong expertise in:

  • Transportation Planning

  • Freight Management

  • Carrier Management

  • Transportation Execution

  • SAP TM Configuration

  • SAP TM Integration Architecture

• Experience implementing SAP TM solutions in enterprise-scale environments.

• Strong understanding of logistics, transportation operations, and supply chain processes.

• Experience facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, and supporting business transformation initiatives.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Uber Freight Integration or third-party logistics/carrier platforms.

• Additional expertise with SAP EWM.

• Experience with external transportation planning and enterprise integrations.

• Solution Architecture experience within SAP Supply Chain environments.

• Experience leading transportation transformation projects across multiple sites or business units.

Pay Details: $89.00 to $92.00 per hour
