IT Systems Administrator

We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator for a full-time/direct hire position with our client, onsite in Lancaster, SC. 

Salary Range:  $75,000 to $100,000/year; salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Skills required/role:

 

• PowerShell scripting as it relates to regular, scheduled Windows server OS patching, security updates.  Current monthly process involves a lot of custom scripting, all developed by the current admin who has ownership of this duty.  Eventually client may migrate to a 3rd party system to manage server patching but right now this is an important skill.

• Veeam backup software support and administration, support for Quantum hardware system.  Day to day proactive checking and ability to take full ownership of the system and troubleshoot issues.

• Azure and O365 administration – Knowledge of this complex system, policies that control functionality for a domain. Experience supporting the various aspects of O365 and associated systems (Teams, Exchange, Entra and AD integration). 

• Must bring higher level skills for setting up trusts between domains for sharing, monitoring and adjusting policies associated with Exchange, Teams, One Drive, etc. (not just resetting passwords and adding users to groups).

•   Proactive monitoring and reviewing of settings to ensure our tenant is locked down as much as possible to prevent holes in the system, including managing AI integrations for O365 users.

• Virtualization skills and experience – Currently migrating away from VMWare and to Nutanix.  Big plus: dual Nutanix admin skills to support current Sr. Systems Administrator who has ownership of the virtualization system.  

• Hands on experience with direct support of hardware and software systems associated with Nutanix.
